An application has been submitted to develop Green Belt land that encloses our village. The development within the Proposed Local Development Plan, will be more than a 50% increase in homes, with the initial building of 230+ units over five years. Further identified sites with “Reserved Status” will then double the size of Potterton. There is no provision for increased amenities within the village. Current schools, roads and infrastructure could not support development.
Over the coming days we will be posting information about the importance of preserving our Green Belt & our Village Community. In addition, a leaflet through your door with more information on how to object if you wish to do so. We hope you find the information we share useful to supporting views on the proposed mass development of Potterton.
This massive change in the LDP for our area could go unnoticed and will irrevocably change the future of our village. Your voice needs to be heard now. There are response forms available online in the link below and at the Shop. These can be submitted to all your elected officials by email and/or post or can be submitted at Potterton Shop & Post Office.
Please submit your responses to the Proposed Aberdeenshire Local Development Plan 2020 before 31st July 2020.
