Scottish Planning Policy on Green Belt Land

Folks, attaching extract from the Scottish Planning Policy on Green Belt if you wanted to have a look and decide for yourself if these proposed sites meet government policy!!!

Keep in mind the Aberdeen Housing Land Audit states a min of 5yrs land supply is required to meet the Strategic Growth plan; and in 2019 they had 7 1/2yrs supply of housing land (excluding this LPD) and we’re now in an economic downturn!

“Local development plans should describe the types and scales of development which would be appropriate within a green belt. These may include:

• Development meeting a national requirement or established need, if no other suitable site is available

• Intensification of established uses subject to the new development being of a suitable scale and form

What’s your thoughts? Make YOUR voice heard!!!!!!
