We’re working our way through Bid Assessments which were completed in Potterton – these reports are carried out by a planner to evaluate reasoning to support what may get rejected and what they propose might be put forward in to the Local development plan.
We found the constraints as to why the Chap bid site (at the other side of Potterton on the B999 next to Gourdie Park) wasn’t favored to be put forward interesting. See snap shot attached.
The proposed sites which were brought forward into the LDP (based on the bid site assessments) are 67% in scale compared to the rejected Chap site – yet no constraints were mentioned about inappropriate scale within the Greenbelt.
Chap Site 435 Houses – Proposed Sites 292 Houses (As per Bid Site Assessments)
Both are large scale developments within the Greenbelt!
